"Pools R Us" are experts at installing underwater lighting systems in your swimming pool. These lights make the pool an atractive feature at night, and also make night bathing a safer experience.

We reccomend either low voltage lighting or fibre optic lighting.

Low Voltage Swimming Pool Lighting

We will install 12 volt standard lights into existing pools.  The process is easy and results are attractive.

The lights are installed about 40cms below the waterline, and there needs to be a location well above the waterline with a 220 volt power supply where we can locate the transformers. This is so that if there is a water leak along the wiring conduits the water will not reach the transformers and you will not get electrocuted by the 220 Volt supply.

Fibre Optic lighting

Fibre Optic Lights can also be installed to existing pools.  It´s a lot safer than the 12 volt system as no electricity can make contact with the water.  The coloured light travels through the fibres from a generator known as a lighting engine. These systems can have up to 8 different colour lights. 

The light engine must also be installed well above the water line, as like the transformers for the low voltage lights it works off a 220 volts supply.  Some of the engines are waterproof and can be installed in the garden or on the terrace near to the pool. 

These systems can be used with a remote control if required, and interesting effects can be achived with the different combinations of colours. 

These fibre optic lights can also be used in your garden and alongside pathways.
